Mona Lisa`s Pizza in Norfolk

Just got 2 large pizza's. Get home to eat...dough is raw. I call to tell them and they tell me to bring it back so they can put it back in the oven. Yuk. They deliver and they want me to bring it back. Wow. Never going back again. Been eating there for years, no more!

Placed an order through Orderup and am still waiting for my order 1 hour and 15 minutes later. I also got a call from Orderup about 30 minutes after my order to tell me the restaurant was out of all desserts. This restaurant provides their own delivery, so they are responsible for the wait time.

This place was one of my favorite things about being stationed in Norfolk, VA. My Navy friends and I would come here quite often. It became like a custom every week and the staff was very friendly and fast. I don't remember if it was pricey or not but then again I went in the early months of 2009. Good place though. Worth checking out.

Amazing service. The lady that waited on us was super sweet. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back soon.The pizza was perfect in every way and the restaurant has a cozy mom and pop atmosphere.

Ordered a Greek salad, they used the wrong olives! Ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and it was so paper thin and greasy! I like this pizza but this was ridiculous. But the customer service was great. The manager didn't get an attitude, she spoke softly, she quickly have me a refund. Without a long reason of why I wanted one. I told her why or what I was unhappy about and that's all she needed. It was refreshing. I have been here before and it was great. I will definitely give them another try though. Local is local!!

This place is the bomb and they delivered everyday to me and my friends all through the snow storm. Pizzas great, pastas great, desserts are great. Over all 10/10 place would reccomend

I just ordered through PayPal, and what an easy experience it was. I ordered 2 pizzas, a 2 Liter, and a Greek salad with specific instructions and they NAILED it! Followed my request on the salad to the “T”. I love Mona’s and it’s the neighborhood FAMILY Pizza Place in OV. I hope they never close! When I come in with my daughters, the mom of the place always give the girls a free toy and her and the staff treats us like family! Thank you!

Our favorite restaurant in all of Hampton Roads. Patti, Shea and everybody else is one big happy family. The food amazing. Carry out, delivery, buffet lunch.

Wife had a calzone that she enjoyed but I Ordered Eggplant parmigiana and it was so greasy I couldn’t eat it. The waitress did take it off the tab which was very nice but then I found a hair in the side of pasta that came with the eggplant. The people there are nice but I don’t think I’ll ever go back or be able to recommend it after this experience.

Ate the stuffed pizza. Tasted great. Wonderful sauce. Simplistic but pleasing aesthetic.

Service was good, sweet tea was good and that's about it. Got the special 12.95 -1 topping extra large pizza and tea combo. Had to have been the thinnest pizza I've ever seen. I got plain cheese and several of the slices were mostly just sauce, no cheese. (See pics). Dough didn't taste like anything. Bummer. Had high hopes for this place. Great neighborhood hangout atmosphere too.

Delivery driver was speeding past my house on 14th Bay. When he left back ion to Ocean view he spun tires I called Mona Lisa to let them know and they really didn’t care. If you have kids or animals don’t get delivery. They might not be there when pizza gets there.

Excellent pizza and wings. Best beer prices in town. Fast, friendly service. Actually a decent view of the up-and-coming East Beach area. Not a whole lot more to ask of a local eatery. Highly recommended

2nd time I have Been here in a week! Got a groupon for it. And "mama" was a great server for us she was hilarious ! My bf got the pizza with everything and I got a calzone. Awesome ! This place can be poppin on certain days.

It's a great place for lunch and dinner, if you arrive at lunch you'll get your order by dinner. Our last visit we placed our order for sodas and after 25 minutes we walked out and there were only 3 booths filled and we were one of those three. They get preoccupied in the kitchen and forget about the guests.

Great food and great service. Nice place to relax, have a beer and eat some good food.

Second time and still horrible. First time we ordered for delivery. We were told 45 min. 2 hours and 2 phone call later our pizza shows up cold. Today I tried to give this place a second chance. I ordered 2 pizzas for pickup. I was told 25 min. I show up 28 minutes later to pickup my pizza and they haven't even started making it. When I showed up they asked me what my order was and started making it. Don't go here or order from here. Horrible service.

We were pleasantly surprised by the pizza here, I found it to be very good, especially given our NJ tastes. The wait was a bit long but the owner was really nice to us. The crane game is a total scam though, but we knew that before we put quarters in :/.

This is an adorable family-run restaurant with the most amazing calzones. You can always count on Mom to come out from the kitchen and see how you are doing.

Good pizza and good groupon deal! Sad to hear Oceanview location closing but will have to visit them on Military highway (that is where Mona Lisa is moving to). We had the pizza which had fresh ingredients and nice crust.Will have to come see you guys in the new digs on military highway!

We ordered the cheese pizza, cheesy bread and cheesy fries. Was hands down the best we’ve had. Was delivered hot and tasted great. Definitely recommend!

The BEST pizza and staff. EVER. Lived here 10 yrs ago and was surprised to see it still open. Went in and Google had the hours wrong. The staff assured me that they didn't mind us coming in late. I corrected the hours and had our pizzas. AWESOME to see the food here is still as good as I remembered.

I arrived at Mona Lisa to pick some Buffalo wings for a customer. I stood in line waiting for the customer order than 4 minutes later we don't have no Buffalo wings. The customer had to call 1st to verify the order. Bad business

The pizza came out and it was just warm enough to start eating, and it stayed warm the whole time. The Garlic knots were to die for. Definitely the best in all of hampton roads. The service was great it was fast, and the server was very friendly. They have so many choices on the menu, and they are all the best I've tasted before

Wonderful experience! Wasn't the best quality bread, but it tasted good and that's all that mattered. The entrees were excellent in quality, taste and value too. $8.50 can give you a nice portioned meal. definitely going here again!

This is a place with heart. It is the real deal. The food is good, but the people are great.

No directions when first walk in the restaurant. Then everybody in the back looking at you like you are crazy. Food comes out awful, waste my money! Do not recommend. Then one top of that 30 minutes to get my ticket to pay they still in the back looking crazy. Don't go to Mona Lisa stay away!!!!!!!!

The pizza was good and service was great at first but after your pizza came our server never came back to offer drink refills or to check on is. Worse, the family had stomach upset the next day.

My first time and last time. Im sorry but maybe it was because of the Grayson storm and the left over snow but the food was not good. The pizza was super doughy and was very basic in flavor. Both of them. Bummer. There are definitely multiple better options here locally.

I love this place. I grew up in Hampton since the 1970's military brat And all. We used to go to the original for their fabulous pizza and I was not disappointed tonight. Hours have changed, they close at 11pm now. But Shay was fantastic. I grouponed it and only paid 7 and dine change for Greek salad and pizza. Yummy .

A hometown favorite of mine...the shrimp wings pastas pizzas and subs are phenomenal.. the service is ginuine... the staff is inviting and treats me like family... best prices...beautiful beaches... and don't forget to try the carrot cake

It's great, we come here after we swim. They are super nice, my little group likes it here.

Two slices of pizza and a coke for five dollars including tax is my favorite lunch special. They also have a good White Pizza. Good place for a quick and affordable lunch.

Possibly the worst pizza I have had.. just had to throw it all out.. my 2 year old can make better pizza.. waste of money and time..tasted and looked like plastic s***

Good people good food try it

I’ve had two bad experiences at this place. It took me the second time to leave a review. The first time I was completely ignored in the store when I went to pick a Stromboli up. I walked in and everyone in there avoided talking to me at the counter. I waited 5 minutes to finally be greeted by the owner, who then proceeded to hold my card in her hand while having a full blown conversation with a man who seemed to be working on the roof. The second time I ordered delivery. It was atleast 45 minutes late. I ordered a half meat lovers and half only pepperoni, it came with only two slices as meat lovers, not to mention the poorly cut pizza. Everything was almost cold when we got it. Last time I eat there you have officially lost my business! Not to mention the outrageous price of the toppings... when I asked the owner to compensate for the overdue pizza, nothing happened! She wouldn’t do anything to help a disgruntled customer. Worst customer service I’ve come along.

Some of the absolute best pizza I have ever had. I am a fan of crust and this pizza packs a mean, thick crust. Pasta dishes are reasonably priced and very good too. Overall a great Italian joint

Just ate their pizza for the first time and it was absolutely Amazing!! From the initial order on the phone to the delivery at my door, nothing but curtious, punctual and professional service. Definitely will be ordering again. The BLT Sub and Breaded Mushrooms were also delicious. Thank you for the Great First Experience!
